The boys are getting homesick!

My oldest called me this morning to state that he is throwing up and other things. I won't go into the yucky details. He called last night complaining that his back was hurting, I told him we will let the doctor now when we go Aug 14. That is the day he will have his physical for the sports. I am now thinking it is in conjunction with this bug. Oh yea, he stayed at my sisters last night with the babies. I hope they don't get this bug. In the mean while my phone was beeping and it was my mother, my middle child is running a 99 fever and his ear is killing him. He has swimmers ear, but he refuses to let anyone put drops in. I had to tell him firmly to let his grandma put the drops in. I sent some drops for the kiddos because Kyle had it right before he went up there.

Well Kyle, my youngest, has been counting down the days from 5 til he gets to see me. Peyton has been homesick a bit longer. He is the home body one. Jolee, I will switch you a boy. This one is so what you are needing right now. We can't get him to do anything. Example: My family was meeting at a clubhouse with some family that was visiting. There were 9 cousins there. WOW!! So mom was taking pictures, because she knew this would not happen again for a LONG time. Peyton was in the sitting area by himself and refused to get in the pictures. She made him do one. I just don't know where he gets this. Any ways, I am truly blessed they got to meet some cousins they have never met before. I was told my oldest was a BIG help and so polite. Thank you DAVID!! I guess we are doing something right in the raising of our children. You just don't get to see it when they are with you the whole time. They act so different away.

I am looking forward to going and picking up my boys on the 7th. I am going to try not to cry when I see them. I am starting to feel lonely. It was nice for a week, but the 2nd might just be a little to much for all of us. I am truly blessed to have my boys. Life without them would be lonely.

I LOVE YOU BOYS!!!!

And now we are alone

Well I am a little behind on this. Let's see, Kyle turned 6 yes my baby. He had a wonderful party. It was a whopping 98 that day. Couldn't pick a hotter day. Though the kids did not mind, they were in the pool the whole time. Got out to eat, open gifts and cake. Another thing is Kyle has a his first loose tooth. He is just growing up to fast, I think I will just cry once his first baby tooth is out. He is not a baby anymore. Also I think he will loose that tooth while he with his grandparents for the 12 days. I am getting used to the quiet around here. Different walking in and not having a mess of crumbs everywhere and the noisy. The noisy, there is none. That is actually the best part right now. I am sure I will miss it come next week. You can only go so long without your babies here.

Babies, my oldest is getting so tall. I have this photo I took while we were dropping off the boys and he is next to his dad. I just cannot get over it. He has been taller than me a little while now. And his voice, it is changing. My sister calls just to talk to him and here his voice.

Well I did go shopping on my first day without any boys and wore Jason completely out. We did get a Christmas gift or 2 for the boys. Hey better to do it now and the boys will never know. Right? I have been working. This week is extremely busy with meetings and so forth, but it is looking to slow down. I thought we were done, but I still have one more this week.

Jason and I are trying to enjoy each other and try new places. We never go out to nice places and everyone that had more than one child probably knows what I mean. The cost to bring a family. YIKES! So we are enjoying us time. YEA!

Our weekend

This weekend we were all suppose to go to Mt. Home due to my cousins from Iowa was getting to take a vacation. Well the floods in the state just happen to hit there town and they could not get off work to come. So hopefully another time we can all meet there and get together. So on that, I decided that I wanted to just take a break from everything and relax. Did that happen???
NO!!! My bright idea was to finish out our remodel on the house. That was to paint the kitchen. So I began on Friday, the day we should of left. I think it turned out great. I ended up doing more than I wanted to, but it was all worth it. I decided to put up some crown molding. That is not cheap, but makes a huge difference in the whole look. I think I want to put in the bedroom now. Jason and I did very well and got it completely done today. Yea! So my weekend was busy and my legs are killing me.

On the sports note. We are done, I think. We have not received a call from any of the boys coaches.

Oh Yea, in two weekends from now the boys (all of them) are going to go to Mt. Home for 11 days. Jason and I are thinking about going to Hot Springs, and maybe the casino, which I have never been. We are going to try to live it up while they are away and in good hands.

The weather here this week has been rainy, rainy, rainy. Next week we will be celebrating Kyle's 6th birthday even though he did already turn 6 Friday. The reason we are doing it late was we were suppose to be in Mt. Home on his real birthday. Kyle's new found thing to eat is chicken wings. He can eat 13 of those little suckers. Every time we ask him what he wants to eat it is chicken wings. He has a loose tooth, which is totally sad for me. I have no more babies!!! All my kiddos are growing up and I am getting old!!

Here is a slide of the kitchen redo and some of Peyton at his game.

Today's game for Kyle

Well, it started off good and ended not so good. We played at 2 pm and it was HOT. My van said it was 102 and it did feel it. I was a good momma and took my camera. So here is the shots I got.

All Stars

Well it is going well so far, but this weekend does become a sticky situation. Kyle is going to be in his LAST tournament and Peyton still has a couple to go. Kyle is going to be in Sherwood and Peyton's team changed the plans and decided to go to Dumas. I think and hope I can make the right decision and not hurt anyone feelings, but I am leaning toward not going. I just hope that the coach will NOT hold that against MY son for MY decision. In my hearts of hearts I really want to see Kyle play. I think if it was closer I would let Peyton ride with someone and just meet them, but Dumas is so far away for that to happen.

Kyle- He has played 2 tournament in Cabot and has done well. I have only got to see to games, due to Peyton. Jason is asst. coach for him so it allows him to be with him. He has caught about 10 fly balls and line drives. He is such a heads up ball player. I can't tell you how proud I am of him at the tender age of 5.

Peyton- He has played in Sherwood, which I did not get to see him play and that night it rained and the next day was canceled. So on Sunday they just played scrimmage games at Rose City. Then we played at Lonoke and they did fairly well. We played a total of 5 games, 1 Friday, 3 sat. and getting home at 11:00 pm, and 1 Sunday. Peyton did well, he caught 3 or 4 balls, made so good outs. I am so proud of him, he is learning how to control his self when errors are made and when he gets out. He is so not used to that, during to season, he RARELY got out. So he is learning to keep that head up.

For me, I am wore out and cannot wait for July 10 to head out of dodge for the weekend.

My Kids did wonderful

Well, let me begin. My boys and there great friend Gabe entered a talent show at their school. They tried out and made it. I am so proud that they did. I know it had to be nerve racking to get up and perform in front of all the school and the parents. Peyton is the one I honestly thought would back out at the last minute, but to my surprise by the second performance of the day he was really getting into it. Kyle, to my surprise did not perform as well as he practiced. I think he got a little stage fright My friend did film both performances. I took the pictures.

The finished room

Ok, I have got the rugs and my living room is complete. Here are the photos of the living room and the garage entry where the flood happened.

Also, Jolee, here is the bathroom. You can voice your opinion on the clashing of the shower curtain. I am so upset I have to change. I guess I will have to have my friend Carrie take me to the BX this time. lol
You remember that my foyer and garage was green. We also had to change that color to the blue gray color to match the floor.

Thumb

Well it is a fracture and pulled ligaments. I took some pictures, but you really cannot see all the bruising. His thumb is though huge. The bruising is everywhere. He cannot tie his shoes, button his pants, he cannot even open a bag of skittles. He is so not liking this. You never realize how much you use your thumb. I will leave you with just these photos. Like I said they don't do the justice. We go back to the surgeon on May 23 for another x-ray and to see how much longer he will be down. They said 4-6 weeks.

My living room.

Well everything is almost done. We just have a few more things like the T Molding to separate the bedrooms from the hallway and the kitchen from the living room. We have had to paint the hallways and foyer due to the color did not match the floor we put in there. The bathroom also got a new floor and now the curtain and wall doesn't match in there. So yes I will have to paint in there also. I tell you what I did not realize it would be this much work.

Jolee- You know the shower curtain in it now is the one I was hunting and you found in at the BX. Remember? It so does not go now. I am so disappointed. I will have to take some pictures and email you them so you can see what I am talking about.

I am also having to get new rugs. I am hoping to have everything done by the end of May.

Well we are going to try to open the pool this upcoming weekend. I hope the weather holds out for us.

On another note, David is home from school today. Last night he hurt his thumb and this morning woke up and it is swollen and bruised on the outer and inner part of his hand and up his index finger. So with that I will be taking him to the doctor today at 1:00. He will not play his game tonight.
