And let the Football Begin

This past week started football for both the boys. Sept. 6 was David's first game with the Jr. High and it ended with a tie. They don't play tell someone scores, they are just in there to learn. It was weird the coaches were out there with the players showing them were to go and everything. This is what we call an instructional league I guess. I don't know what to think of it except I was not to fond of the game at all.

Peyton on the other hand had his first game on Sat. Sept. 8, and that was a very cute game. Believe it or not it was so much more organized and they even kicked the ball unlike David's game. OH YEA on his game they did not even punt the ball. Weird huh? Peyton started the game and played alot. He mostly played defense and punt return up until the last quarter than he played both sides. He was wore out. He played against 3 of his friends and was disappointed in the beginning of the season not to get on there team. I got some good pictures of all of them though. No one got hurt, which is always a good thing. The one neat thing about the game was the coach's wife and others (I guess) made a banner for the kids to run though when they announced there team. Peyton really liked that part.

Kyle still is not old enough to play that sport yet, thank goodness. But he is going to be old enough to play basketball, so I will be able to post more on him at that time.

School is still going great for the boys. David is joining a teen group at church and he went to a cookout this weekend and says he is really going to enjoy being in the teen group. I know this is really good for him to get involved in so I am really happy for him. Now this is a lot of work for me, alot of dropping off and picking up so I am a little (YES) excited he is getting closer to being able to drive. I thought I would never be ready for that. But all the driving you have to do for a teenager is rough. But I will survive. We as parents will do anything to support our children.

Thanks Mom for always doing for me and all the sports I did and for supporting me in everything I did. Love you.

Go Cowboys! I wish Landen were there to play with you, Peyton. He just loved it last year. They'll probably have a sign every game. :-) Good luck the rest of the season.
