?????

I have been kinda down with my step dad and his surgery. We are waiting to see if he has to undergo radiation on top of the the surgery. They did have to take a hand full of nerves. Though he did get his catheter out yesterday. I know he was relieved of that. We are going up to see the family tomorrow. This is a quit trip for us. I do have to work Monday and Tuesday. The kids have been out of school due to icy weather so they have a short week this week, only 3 days. Today is the Christmas parties at school and I am headed up there to help. I will get some pics of that.

Kyle and his new glasses

Well we have had a lot go on in the past month, my sister got in an auto wreck, my dad was diagnosed with cancer, my brother's house flooded, my aunt was in an auto wreck 2 days ago, my other aunt had some cancer removed from her face, and my sister's boyfriend was arrested again for driving without a license. You would think they would learn there lesson after the 10th time. I wish they would just live by the rules given to them and one day after the time is up things would be good. Her poor kiddos need to see them do this. They are so sweet and innocent. I just want the best for my niece and nephew and sister.

Well Kyle has had to get some glasses, we got them today and he is already not wanting to wear them. He will have to get used to them. He is supposes to wear them all the time.

My heating unit is working great. We have had some cold weather.

My AC/HEAT UNIT is in

Well, not completely yet. They are here and working on it as we speak. I cannot wait to have an efficient unit with less electric and gas bills.

Thank you so much Jolee for your comments. I miss talking to you. I hate that it is rainy season for you. Do you flood? Or is it just always a drizzle or mist? It is a great day today and we won't even need to turn or new unit on. Our football season has been great, just one HOT game. The rest have been perfect. We have three more games to go. Oh I take that back. Last game was cold and rained the whole game, and I don't mean drizzle, I mean rain. We were like wet puppies.

Busy and more...

I have not been myself lately. I think everyone goes through this once in a while. We have just had alot go on in our family. Nothing major, well for my brother and his family, yes it is major. They are doing ok. Still have no home. It might be 6 months or more before they can get back to home.

Well when my brother left my house a week later our heating and air unit went out. So we have been trying to get quotes and taking the boys to practice, going to games. I have been working a lot. We are gearing up for basketball season, by the way. Peyton does not get to play this year. He is having a bad attitude with everything so we are going to have to take a break. Kyle does not want to play, which is ashamed. I am not going to force anything on my kiddos.

Here is a slide show of some of the pics I took while my brother was here.

Update on puppies and more

The puppies are doing good. We servived one week, boy was it a long week. The are suprising me by going in there kenenal without being put in there for naps. They have not peaed in the kenenal for 4 days now. They are sleeping all night. They do love to play with each other. Domiono is the friendlist. Pumpkin is more playful. We fixed the backyard and are letting them go out back for a period of time (15 mins.) They are so little we had to fix all the holes in the pickets and the ground around the pickets. They just slide under them. They seem to love it back there. So things are ok right now with them.

I am going to move on to Galvestion. My brother lives there, they have a business. Well they were going to right the hurricane out and stay. Well on the day the storm was moving in and the only was off the island was becoming flooded. They decided to leave, but the in-laws stayed. Not good, my brother and wife and son are at a friends house in Dallas and was told there drug store was flooded with about 3 ft of water. In the mean while his wife got a call for help from her parents. So the rescue team went and got them and as of right now they do not know where they are at, but did recieve a call that they we ok (I would guess by the rescue team). She should be hearing from them soon to see which shelter they are at. They haven't decided what they are going to do, but it could be up to a month before they can get on the island, so they might be coming here. I would love to see my brother and his family, I just hate that it is on this note. But he does have a bunch of friends here and he might just make the best of it. He is needs to be strong for his family and make good choices right know.

Am I CRAZY??

Well, we did not get to play any football games this week or weekend due to the heavy rain we had from Gustav. I am so glad that it has moved on and things can start drying out. But in the meanwhile our friends had some puppies about 6 or so weeks ago. I told them I would take one of them. It is a mutt. They had 5 girls and one boy. Well they called and was taking them to the vet for there first round of shots. When they arrived, it was funny, there were 3 of Davids buddies here and a friend of Peyton's here. So needless to say there was a crowd. Well everyone had there favorites. Jason and I picked the same one. That was good, we usually cannot decide well. But the boys of course had another one picked. They were begging to keep them both, so Jason said ok, we will take 2. WHAT!!! I was like NO WAY, but he said they aren't going to be that big. About 15 or so pounds a piece. I asked her if I cannot handle them both for a week would she take one back. She said yes. But the boys are so good with them right now, we all know that will soon fade. Long story short, we got to females. Fun Fun for me!!
The pictures are at the end of the slide.

And he gets

to play. The Dr. said that this is going to have to heal over time and if he can tolerate the pain or discomfort he can play. So he is going to try to practice today. We will see when Jason picks him up how he feels.

He called it A fusion (i think), basically if he was an adult and we did what he did it would have just pulled a muscle or a tendon, but since his is beginning his puberty the muscle pulled a piece of bone off the hip bone. He said if could of happened anywhere it just so happen to get him there.

The first day

Went well, everyone is excited. David is in all 7 classes with his 2 best friends. NOT GOOD for the teachers. So we had a talk with him. Peyton is still suffering from his swimmers ear.

All is well otherwise.

We need him cleared

I think David is doomed. During the beginning of baseball while playing basketball in the yard he fracture his thumb. Now he's in football and while in the pool a couple of weeks ago he had his brother on his shoulders and heard something pop. We thought nothing of it cause he rested and was able to continue with going to his friends. Well while up at my moms he was having some hip/back pain. Then he got sick, so we put it as that. Now he has been practicing football with his team and has really been complaining. Well his physical appt was the 14th, so he told the Dr. who than took an x-ray. OOPS!! Not good news. A piece of bone from the hip is off. The Dr was explaining that the muscle is stronger than the bone and that when he heard the pop a while back it was the muscle ripping a layer of the bone off. With that said he is not released to play. We have to go to the ortho surgeon on Thrus. the 21st to see what needs to be done. Obviously this is going to be a long process to heal. I don't even know if he will be released for basketball. He is suppose to take it easy and not run, not to allow anyone to tackle him, not swing a golf club. Until of course we see the ortho Dr. He might even have more restrictions.

He has grown 3 3/4 inches and 21 lbs since last Aug. He is in full blown puberty.

I just hope things get better for him.

And they are

FINALLY home. The boys are back and within minutes I was back in mommy mode. Kyle left with swimmers ear and some medicine, but when he was in my arms for just a little bite he started to complain. When I looked it was bad so I immediately called and made him a doctors appt. for the next morning. Not good, his ear drum has rupture. He is on antibiotics and antibiotics ear drops for 10 days. Bless his heart, he is a trooper.

OK, let me back up. We meet at 1:15 at a place about an hour away for me. Got home around 2:30. David had to get ready to go to football practice at 4:00. While he was gone Peyton went into his room and climbed to get a plastic box, opened it and found David's pocket knife. NOT GOOD. Next thing I here (Kyle was lying on me at this time because his ear was bothering him) Peyton scream. I jump up and he was in the bathroom. I asked what is going on (did I forget to tell you, a friend was over), Peyton stated he is trying to clean red marker off of him. I said why is there blood drops everywhere leading up to the bathroom. So I went to the friend and he told me Peyton sliced his finger trying to shut the knife. At this point I was yelling let me in and see the damage. It was not all that bad just a deep cut, sorta like a paper cut, just deeper. Well he is complaining it burns everyday. I told him how dangerous that was and that he could have lost the tip of a finger. I don't think he will be doing that anymore. He is just a daredevil. HE never believes you when you tell him something. HE is so hard headed.

David is just having to catch up with what he missed for the football. He has been with his friends and they are telling him the plays and have been practicing together this weekend.

Over all, all is well with us.

The boys are getting homesick!

My oldest called me this morning to state that he is throwing up and other things. I won't go into the yucky details. He called last night complaining that his back was hurting, I told him we will let the doctor now when we go Aug 14. That is the day he will have his physical for the sports. I am now thinking it is in conjunction with this bug. Oh yea, he stayed at my sisters last night with the babies. I hope they don't get this bug. In the mean while my phone was beeping and it was my mother, my middle child is running a 99 fever and his ear is killing him. He has swimmers ear, but he refuses to let anyone put drops in. I had to tell him firmly to let his grandma put the drops in. I sent some drops for the kiddos because Kyle had it right before he went up there.

Well Kyle, my youngest, has been counting down the days from 5 til he gets to see me. Peyton has been homesick a bit longer. He is the home body one. Jolee, I will switch you a boy. This one is so what you are needing right now. We can't get him to do anything. Example: My family was meeting at a clubhouse with some family that was visiting. There were 9 cousins there. WOW!! So mom was taking pictures, because she knew this would not happen again for a LONG time. Peyton was in the sitting area by himself and refused to get in the pictures. She made him do one. I just don't know where he gets this. Any ways, I am truly blessed they got to meet some cousins they have never met before. I was told my oldest was a BIG help and so polite. Thank you DAVID!! I guess we are doing something right in the raising of our children. You just don't get to see it when they are with you the whole time. They act so different away.

I am looking forward to going and picking up my boys on the 7th. I am going to try not to cry when I see them. I am starting to feel lonely. It was nice for a week, but the 2nd might just be a little to much for all of us. I am truly blessed to have my boys. Life without them would be lonely.

I LOVE YOU BOYS!!!!

And now we are alone

Well I am a little behind on this. Let's see, Kyle turned 6 yes my baby. He had a wonderful party. It was a whopping 98 that day. Couldn't pick a hotter day. Though the kids did not mind, they were in the pool the whole time. Got out to eat, open gifts and cake. Another thing is Kyle has a his first loose tooth. He is just growing up to fast, I think I will just cry once his first baby tooth is out. He is not a baby anymore. Also I think he will loose that tooth while he with his grandparents for the 12 days. I am getting used to the quiet around here. Different walking in and not having a mess of crumbs everywhere and the noisy. The noisy, there is none. That is actually the best part right now. I am sure I will miss it come next week. You can only go so long without your babies here.

Babies, my oldest is getting so tall. I have this photo I took while we were dropping off the boys and he is next to his dad. I just cannot get over it. He has been taller than me a little while now. And his voice, it is changing. My sister calls just to talk to him and here his voice.

Well I did go shopping on my first day without any boys and wore Jason completely out. We did get a Christmas gift or 2 for the boys. Hey better to do it now and the boys will never know. Right? I have been working. This week is extremely busy with meetings and so forth, but it is looking to slow down. I thought we were done, but I still have one more this week.

Jason and I are trying to enjoy each other and try new places. We never go out to nice places and everyone that had more than one child probably knows what I mean. The cost to bring a family. YIKES! So we are enjoying us time. YEA!

Our weekend

This weekend we were all suppose to go to Mt. Home due to my cousins from Iowa was getting to take a vacation. Well the floods in the state just happen to hit there town and they could not get off work to come. So hopefully another time we can all meet there and get together. So on that, I decided that I wanted to just take a break from everything and relax. Did that happen???
NO!!! My bright idea was to finish out our remodel on the house. That was to paint the kitchen. So I began on Friday, the day we should of left. I think it turned out great. I ended up doing more than I wanted to, but it was all worth it. I decided to put up some crown molding. That is not cheap, but makes a huge difference in the whole look. I think I want to put in the bedroom now. Jason and I did very well and got it completely done today. Yea! So my weekend was busy and my legs are killing me.

On the sports note. We are done, I think. We have not received a call from any of the boys coaches.

Oh Yea, in two weekends from now the boys (all of them) are going to go to Mt. Home for 11 days. Jason and I are thinking about going to Hot Springs, and maybe the casino, which I have never been. We are going to try to live it up while they are away and in good hands.

The weather here this week has been rainy, rainy, rainy. Next week we will be celebrating Kyle's 6th birthday even though he did already turn 6 Friday. The reason we are doing it late was we were suppose to be in Mt. Home on his real birthday. Kyle's new found thing to eat is chicken wings. He can eat 13 of those little suckers. Every time we ask him what he wants to eat it is chicken wings. He has a loose tooth, which is totally sad for me. I have no more babies!!! All my kiddos are growing up and I am getting old!!

Here is a slide of the kitchen redo and some of Peyton at his game.

Today's game for Kyle

Well, it started off good and ended not so good. We played at 2 pm and it was HOT. My van said it was 102 and it did feel it. I was a good momma and took my camera. So here is the shots I got.

All Stars

Well it is going well so far, but this weekend does become a sticky situation. Kyle is going to be in his LAST tournament and Peyton still has a couple to go. Kyle is going to be in Sherwood and Peyton's team changed the plans and decided to go to Dumas. I think and hope I can make the right decision and not hurt anyone feelings, but I am leaning toward not going. I just hope that the coach will NOT hold that against MY son for MY decision. In my hearts of hearts I really want to see Kyle play. I think if it was closer I would let Peyton ride with someone and just meet them, but Dumas is so far away for that to happen.

Kyle- He has played 2 tournament in Cabot and has done well. I have only got to see to games, due to Peyton. Jason is asst. coach for him so it allows him to be with him. He has caught about 10 fly balls and line drives. He is such a heads up ball player. I can't tell you how proud I am of him at the tender age of 5.

Peyton- He has played in Sherwood, which I did not get to see him play and that night it rained and the next day was canceled. So on Sunday they just played scrimmage games at Rose City. Then we played at Lonoke and they did fairly well. We played a total of 5 games, 1 Friday, 3 sat. and getting home at 11:00 pm, and 1 Sunday. Peyton did well, he caught 3 or 4 balls, made so good outs. I am so proud of him, he is learning how to control his self when errors are made and when he gets out. He is so not used to that, during to season, he RARELY got out. So he is learning to keep that head up.

For me, I am wore out and cannot wait for July 10 to head out of dodge for the weekend.

My Kids did wonderful

Well, let me begin. My boys and there great friend Gabe entered a talent show at their school. They tried out and made it. I am so proud that they did. I know it had to be nerve racking to get up and perform in front of all the school and the parents. Peyton is the one I honestly thought would back out at the last minute, but to my surprise by the second performance of the day he was really getting into it. Kyle, to my surprise did not perform as well as he practiced. I think he got a little stage fright My friend did film both performances. I took the pictures.

The finished room

Ok, I have got the rugs and my living room is complete. Here are the photos of the living room and the garage entry where the flood happened.

Also, Jolee, here is the bathroom. You can voice your opinion on the clashing of the shower curtain. I am so upset I have to change. I guess I will have to have my friend Carrie take me to the BX this time. lol
You remember that my foyer and garage was green. We also had to change that color to the blue gray color to match the floor.

Thumb

Well it is a fracture and pulled ligaments. I took some pictures, but you really cannot see all the bruising. His thumb is though huge. The bruising is everywhere. He cannot tie his shoes, button his pants, he cannot even open a bag of skittles. He is so not liking this. You never realize how much you use your thumb. I will leave you with just these photos. Like I said they don't do the justice. We go back to the surgeon on May 23 for another x-ray and to see how much longer he will be down. They said 4-6 weeks.

Thursday, May 8, 2008

My living room.

Well everything is almost done. We just have a few more things like the T Molding to separate the bedrooms from the hallway and the kitchen from the living room. We have had to paint the hallways and foyer due to the color did not match the floor we put in there. The bathroom also got a new floor and now the curtain and wall doesn't match in there. So yes I will have to paint in there also. I tell you what I did not realize it would be this much work.

Jolee- You know the shower curtain in it now is the one I was hunting and you found in at the BX. Remember? It so does not go now. I am so disappointed. I will have to take some pictures and email you them so you can see what I am talking about.

I am also having to get new rugs. I am hoping to have everything done by the end of May.

Well we are going to try to open the pool this upcoming weekend. I hope the weather holds out for us.

On another note, David is home from school today. Last night he hurt his thumb and this morning woke up and it is swollen and bruised on the outer and inner part of his hand and up his index finger. So with that I will be taking him to the doctor today at 1:00. He will not play his game tonight.

Off to a good start

Well all 3 boys won there 1st game. Way to start the season out for all.

Some things.....

I don't know where to start, but I met my nephew this past week. Peyton enjoyed himself and got his birthday announced at the show. He tryed to hide but couldn't, of course with me and his brothers pointing at him. He got to get his pictures taken with the haygoods after the show. He sooooo much enjoyed the show. He now wants to learn the violin and the saxophone.

I will post some pictures of the show and everyone on the next slide. I wanted to show everyone the devastation of what the storms did months earlier and how the 2 towns I went to were doing. This was not a pretty picture. In some there was an above ground pool not touch, but the other side of the same house was gone. It just amazes me how a tornado works. Also the flooding was bad. There is this one resort (I didn't have my camera) just completely gone. They had all the furniture out and was pulling the sheet rock. You just never know when this could happen to you. I fell very blessed that we were spared this kind of devastation in this area. Well enjoy the slide. It is a long one and I put them in order of Mt. View, Mt. Home's flooding, and Gassville. There is around 28 photos.

Friday, March 21, 2008

Well we are off for the week

We are leaving tomorrow for a week long vacation. The flooding is bad up to where we are going. My aunt told me that everything is starting to SLOWLY go down. We are going to try to go through hwy 5 and see the tornado and flooding disaster. I am soooooo excited to be there too due to I have a new nephew. He and mommy are home and doing well. She is tired, but glad to be home. I will post pictures of everyone once I get back.

I am also having a foot problem. I don't know what I did, but it is getting worse everyday. It is swelling from my toes to the middle of my foot and it is getting harder and harder to walk on it. I should have went to the doctor b/4 this vacation. We will have to do a lot of walking so I am hoping I can manage through the pain. This is the foot that had the surgery and the bracket. One of the screws has pop out so I am hoping that it is not floating around in there.

Well I put a slide together of Peyton's b-day.

Winter in March. Our normal is suppose to in the 60's

This picture was taken March 3

This picture is from March 10, as for the bottom picture

Well we have had unusual weather here this year. Our winter was not all that cold and March has turned out to be snowy.

The TALK

Jason had the talk with David this weekend, so far he feels nothing has happened, not even the first kiss. I feel though it is coming. He is always showering and brushing his teeth, making sure he has gum on hand. So I know one of this days soon it will happen, but hopefully the talk my boys had will convince him to do the right thing. We can only hope for the best when our kids hit this age. It is so scary. Wish me luck though all of this. I will keep you updated. He is grounded right know from the phone due to his is failing to do his homework so his grades have slipped. He only has 3 more weeks until the report cards come home.

Well baseball is starting this week. Tonight is the draft so Peyton will know who the team mates are on his team for the year. We are supposed to have a tournament on March 14-17. I feel they will probably need a little more practice. We will see.

Kyle is excited to be playing this year. I will have to take lots of pictures. It will be cute.

I am in a new beginning

I don't know how to go with teenagers. My oldest has a girlfriend. I think it is getting too serious. Peyton heard him the other night on the phone tell her he loved her. WHAT??? I don't think 13 years old know what love is. I think I am just in the beginning of the never ending phone ringing. I just can't believe that the girls call here. There is like 3 boys that call in between the 2 girls that call. Jason is going to have THE TALK tonight with him due to he has seen this girl the past weekend. He is also going to meet up with her this weekend. I don't know that anything has happened (like the first kiss). They just walk around the neighborhood and hold hands. They are hugging a little to much for me, but so far that is all I have seen. I am trying not to smother, but on the other hand I want to know what is going on with him. When he is out he is with a set of twins and there girlfriends so at least they are not ALONE. Well I am struggling a bit today due to I accidentally went into his room to get laundry and ran across some of the notes this girl has wrote to him. Let me tell you, I have struggled all day with what to do.
I will keep you posted.

Just because

Just wanted to let you know this week has gone much better. Had a great day yesterday (Valentines Day). Woke up to flowers, candy, and a card with a sweet sweet letter in it that made me cry (a good emotional cry). Though when the boys woke up they saw the candy and stated it was not fair that I got it and not them. So with that said, they ate my candy (boys will be boys).

This past Tues. the boys won there basketball game. We have 2 games left until the season is over. I think we are going to take 4th place this year. Not bad due to last year we took next to last place (13th). Hooray for my boys.

Here is a slide of our fun with ours friends on superbowl Sunday at there house...
