And he gets

to play. The Dr. said that this is going to have to heal over time and if he can tolerate the pain or discomfort he can play. So he is going to try to practice today. We will see when Jason picks him up how he feels.

He called it A fusion (i think), basically if he was an adult and we did what he did it would have just pulled a muscle or a tendon, but since his is beginning his puberty the muscle pulled a piece of bone off the hip bone. He said if could of happened anywhere it just so happen to get him there.

The first day

Went well, everyone is excited. David is in all 7 classes with his 2 best friends. NOT GOOD for the teachers. So we had a talk with him. Peyton is still suffering from his swimmers ear.

All is well otherwise.

We need him cleared

I think David is doomed. During the beginning of baseball while playing basketball in the yard he fracture his thumb. Now he's in football and while in the pool a couple of weeks ago he had his brother on his shoulders and heard something pop. We thought nothing of it cause he rested and was able to continue with going to his friends. Well while up at my moms he was having some hip/back pain. Then he got sick, so we put it as that. Now he has been practicing football with his team and has really been complaining. Well his physical appt was the 14th, so he told the Dr. who than took an x-ray. OOPS!! Not good news. A piece of bone from the hip is off. The Dr was explaining that the muscle is stronger than the bone and that when he heard the pop a while back it was the muscle ripping a layer of the bone off. With that said he is not released to play. We have to go to the ortho surgeon on Thrus. the 21st to see what needs to be done. Obviously this is going to be a long process to heal. I don't even know if he will be released for basketball. He is suppose to take it easy and not run, not to allow anyone to tackle him, not swing a golf club. Until of course we see the ortho Dr. He might even have more restrictions.

He has grown 3 3/4 inches and 21 lbs since last Aug. He is in full blown puberty.

I just hope things get better for him.

And they are

FINALLY home. The boys are back and within minutes I was back in mommy mode. Kyle left with swimmers ear and some medicine, but when he was in my arms for just a little bite he started to complain. When I looked it was bad so I immediately called and made him a doctors appt. for the next morning. Not good, his ear drum has rupture. He is on antibiotics and antibiotics ear drops for 10 days. Bless his heart, he is a trooper.

OK, let me back up. We meet at 1:15 at a place about an hour away for me. Got home around 2:30. David had to get ready to go to football practice at 4:00. While he was gone Peyton went into his room and climbed to get a plastic box, opened it and found David's pocket knife. NOT GOOD. Next thing I here (Kyle was lying on me at this time because his ear was bothering him) Peyton scream. I jump up and he was in the bathroom. I asked what is going on (did I forget to tell you, a friend was over), Peyton stated he is trying to clean red marker off of him. I said why is there blood drops everywhere leading up to the bathroom. So I went to the friend and he told me Peyton sliced his finger trying to shut the knife. At this point I was yelling let me in and see the damage. It was not all that bad just a deep cut, sorta like a paper cut, just deeper. Well he is complaining it burns everyday. I told him how dangerous that was and that he could have lost the tip of a finger. I don't think he will be doing that anymore. He is just a daredevil. HE never believes you when you tell him something. HE is so hard headed.

David is just having to catch up with what he missed for the football. He has been with his friends and they are telling him the plays and have been practicing together this weekend.

Over all, all is well with us.

The boys are getting homesick!

My oldest called me this morning to state that he is throwing up and other things. I won't go into the yucky details. He called last night complaining that his back was hurting, I told him we will let the doctor now when we go Aug 14. That is the day he will have his physical for the sports. I am now thinking it is in conjunction with this bug. Oh yea, he stayed at my sisters last night with the babies. I hope they don't get this bug. In the mean while my phone was beeping and it was my mother, my middle child is running a 99 fever and his ear is killing him. He has swimmers ear, but he refuses to let anyone put drops in. I had to tell him firmly to let his grandma put the drops in. I sent some drops for the kiddos because Kyle had it right before he went up there.

Well Kyle, my youngest, has been counting down the days from 5 til he gets to see me. Peyton has been homesick a bit longer. He is the home body one. Jolee, I will switch you a boy. This one is so what you are needing right now. We can't get him to do anything. Example: My family was meeting at a clubhouse with some family that was visiting. There were 9 cousins there. WOW!! So mom was taking pictures, because she knew this would not happen again for a LONG time. Peyton was in the sitting area by himself and refused to get in the pictures. She made him do one. I just don't know where he gets this. Any ways, I am truly blessed they got to meet some cousins they have never met before. I was told my oldest was a BIG help and so polite. Thank you DAVID!! I guess we are doing something right in the raising of our children. You just don't get to see it when they are with you the whole time. They act so different away.

I am looking forward to going and picking up my boys on the 7th. I am going to try not to cry when I see them. I am starting to feel lonely. It was nice for a week, but the 2nd might just be a little to much for all of us. I am truly blessed to have my boys. Life without them would be lonely.

I LOVE YOU BOYS!!!!
