The house is.....The Week has been....

Well the house got done for the most part. Now it is our turn to finish it up. We are putting a sump pump under the house and french drains on the outside of the house. The water is bad when it rains a lot. Oh speaking of rain, it is raining right now. We are flooded, but our gutters are doing there job, just wish we were super hero's and can get everything else done. Here is a before and after shot of the garage area and porch.

This week as been eventful. That dang stomach bug has hit our house. Monday I went to work and about noon felt horrible, got home in the nick of time. Around 2 that same day Peyton was sicker than a dog. Midnight David was sick. Poor Jason was having to take care of all of us. Gatorade here, Sprite here. He cleaned the bathrooms after we had both of them germed up. He sprayed Lysol on everything, opened the windows to try to help save him and Kyle. Well today is good. All 3 of us are feeling like ourselves, got the Christmas baking done. Jason and Kyle are still good.

Oh this past weekend we went to my Grandmas for our Christmas with the family, and Peyton had a Basketball Tourn. Well we did not get to play the Sat. games due to we were in Mt. Home, but Sunday he did get to help his team win the championship with 2 games and scored to tying point. He has been in a little slump with the shooting, but now is out. Yea Lakers :)

hmm....

The Williams have been pretty busy with eye exams, dental exams, and basketball. I have decided to coach one more year. I am coaching Kyle's team and I have David as my asst. He is needing to be a little more vocal with the boys. They seem to be taking advantage of the fact that he is young. But I do have a good set of boys this year. They are all 2nd grade and one that is K.

David has failed his permit test twice so he is still having to study for that. He is biting at the bit to drive. We have told him to study for 3 weeks and then we will try this again. So he did not go this past Friday and will not this. His Dad has told him that if he doesn't study he will not get to go after that. So we will see. He is doing great at school, as is all the boys. The shopping with David is not fun, he wants clothes for Christmas so he will know everything he gets. At this age I have learned you do not buy any type of clothing unless they approve it. So today from 10 to 3 we were shopping and he only got 3 things. I thought a girl would be worse. NOT :)

We are also getting our house a face lift. We are putting siding and guttering up so every week I have been painting the porch and the garage door. we still have a little to do until the men are here to start. They are starting after Thanksgiving. I love to paint when you can make a mess. After the siding is up no one will know I made such a mess. NICE.

I will have to remember to take b/4 and after pics of the house. It will be so nice after this is done.

Well he's 15

David is now a year older and has been trying to take he written permit test, but the day of his b-day they were closed. This past Friday we were flooded so she could not get here. We are going to try this Friday. YEA! Also this Halloween was different, my son was with his buddies and they all had girls. They watched scary movies. When I picked him up I was talking to the girls and they were all going to go make the boys take them to see twilight when it releases in just a few weeks. I was dying laughing inside because and the boys agreed. What they do for the girls. The girl Dave likes is really cute. I will post pics of his party soon. We just have been extremely busy and the computer at home is not getting turned on as much.

Peyton

I am so proud of Peyton. He is my one that is soooooo emotional. He takes almost everything to heart. When I was pregnant, I have the ultrasound picture & he is sucking his thumb. When he was born he was not 30 minutes old and he is sucking his thumb. He has always carried a blanket and sucked his thumb. Two weeks ago we said goodbye to blankey. He struggled at first, but now is doing great. I think he as just attached his self to a bigger blankey, but he does not carry it around like he did the other. The thumb, well I can't cut it off. We are still working on that. He has been going to therapy for his social anxiety and depression and having to be perfect on everything he does. He is doing really well and they are going to release him in 2 weeks. They told me if he starts showing signs we can always revisit them. We have procedures to do when he gets into the mood of failure. I am just proud that he has given up this blankey. We took pics. Look at the shape this blankey was in.....

Best Day Ever

Well on October 7, 2009 my son got baptised. Though to my great surprise my husband joined him and he got baptised himself. It was a double blessing. This whole week has been great, I have been on a spiritual high. My son is growing up. My friends have taken some pictures for me and I am waiting on them to get email to me so I will post some later. I have been reading a daily devotions for the season and on the day my son and husband decided to become one of the Lord the devotion for the day was "Welcome to the Forever Family". How cool was that. I am going to tear this page out and put it with my son's book, so he can remember. I was sadden that none of my (or Jason's) family came to this. I did have many friends that joined us from our church family to really close friends that are consider family. The feeling of the joy I feel for my son is so great. My son and I have talked, right now (should I say for the past week) we are both working on our relationship. We have not argued, he is listing to me as I am to him. I am working on giving a little as for he is suppose to not argue if I have a strong feeling about things I don't want him to do. This is a good place to be at with my son, I do know that we will have several bumps in the road, but for now it is wonderful.

Teenagers

Why are teenagers lazy?? They never used to be as a child. You will definitely know when your child is going through these years. If they have a chance all they want to do is sleep. Getting them up in the morning is the hardest thing to do. That is when it seems all the arguing start.

My teenager has been complaining that his room stinks. Let's see sweat & a handful of teenagers in a room closed up. They toot ,(fart), burp, eat and leave behind soda cans under the bed or in the closet. It is a whole new world for me. Today Jason and I cleaned the mess out of his room. We pulled the bed and vacuum every single corner of the room, cleaned the curtains, blinds. Pulled out 4 pillows. Oh yea there were 8 pillows in his room. We found socks, gum, underwear under the bed. So he can't complain now that he has no socks. I have done all his laundry.

I don't know exactly how he is going to react when he gets home from work today. The window has been opened all day with his bedroom door open. I hope he enjoys all that his dad and I have done.

On a good note, he has decided to become one of the Lord. He will be baptized this Weds. I will be posting some pictures of this journey. Even though my family can't be there, I have a friend that will be there to take photos for me. I am really a proud momma. This is a great blessing.

What a week

Let's see Sunday night got sick, thought I was getting the flu or a bug of some sort. Monday woke up and my throat was killing me. Didn't really think nothing of it. Tuesday got up and oh my I was not able to swallow, so I went to the dr. Strep throat, great. Well stayed home Weds to get some much needed rest. Though I had a rash all over. Still today the rash is there. I am really ready for this year to be over with it. 35 is a hard age for me.

The rain held off

We all got to start our fall sports yesterday. The weather looked like rain, but it held off until today. Peyton's team won there football game. Also David worked in Cabot for the first time. He is growing up and making money on his own. He is spending it right now, but next year will be a little different with an insurance payment to drive. Right now he is only paying 15 dollars a month for his texting on his phone. Boy can teenagers text. He had 6000 in one month.

So far so good for all the boys and school. Nothing major has happened, everything is going smooth.

Jason and I had our first softball game Thursday night. I pitched, Jason played the outfield. We didn't win. We have 2 games this Monday. It is kinda neat when you kids get older and you get to start doing things with other adults once a week. Though is does mean I am getting older and the body just isn't the same as it was when I was young.

Labor Day

This was such a special trip for me. I got to see my Grandmother who will be turning 87 in October. She is not doing great so I was blessed to be able to make that trip. I am hoping to go up and see her again in a few months, don't know how possible that will be with school going full swing. David is in High School playing football, Peyton is still in elementary along with Kyle. Peyton is playing football also. We had a pretty busy weekend, I recommend if anyone gets to go to the Bull Shores area to take the Dam tour. It was a neat experience for us all. We got to go inside and see the machines and how electricity is made. We were so below the water level it was kinda intimidating, but I managed to make it. After that we picnic and got to see some of the cousins. They next day we went bowling saw Grandma, Jason went golfing, played games and made the most of our day together. All in all this was a great weekend for my family.

WHEW!! What a memory. I am much better, food is still hit and miss. The doctor said everyone is different. So I don't know if food is going to stay down or not. This morning was not good, but lunch is staying down. This is so weird to me. I have never experienced something like this. So I just have to be close to something while eating cause I sure don't have the get up and go. Though my boys say I am moving a bit quicker than a snail. They are so funny. Kyle is the most observant in the healing process of me. He will say you moving quicker or you look better today. Sweet Kyle. My mom has been me this week. Thank you mom. She has been getting the boys up and getting them ready for school. Every morning they would come in my room and kiss me. This morning Peyton and Kyle wanted to see the hole that is in me. So I took the bandage off and they got to see it. I showed them the other ones, but they were glued up. When they took the drain out Tuesday they left it open for it to still drain. It looks very good. I am still real swollen, I can't see my ankles still, and I am hoping soon that will change. Tomorrow my mom and dad are leaving. I am ready to try to get back to as much order as possible, my boys have been spoiled, as they should to keep there mind off of me. My mom has taken them bowling and has been doing there chores, reading to them, etc... I cannot workout or play softball for 3 weeks to a month. I really don't know about the lifting, but driving they said a week or so. I am not ready for the driving yet, I am still having sharp sudden pains every once in a while and the nausea is still around, so I am hoping by Monday everything will be better. I am going stir crazy in the house so I am going to try to go to the boys ball games this weekend.

What a week

while i am up and with the living right know(LOL). Tues may 19 a co worker and i went to hot springs for a business trip. the company paid for us a night and the convention was the 20th. well that night midnight i started getting sick. and sick and sick, ok you get the point. i was apologizing for being so sick that we couldn't go to the convention, so what i did was let her go for a bet and i stayed at a table with a trash can. again still really sick and i kept telling her this is different. ok i traveled home from hot springs sick (not fun let me remind you). got home and jason said maybe it is gas, i was like no this is different. told him that i will have to go to a doctor if i am not better. so thursday the 21st came and i went to the dr. he ran some tests and told me my urine showed a kidney stone and my blood showed the apendix. so he made me go to springhill er where they were waiting on me. got me back and started and iv drank some nasty stuff did a cat scan, and off to surgery.

got done with surgery and the doctor said i am one of the 10% that wasn't normal. (go figure that). my appendix attached to my colon wrapped around it and had a stone in and had gangreen on it. i am not a text book case. that is why i still have the drain in me and i am struggling so much they had a time getting it away from my colon without missing up the colon.

update

It has been a while, Peyton has got his hair cut off. Not that he wanted to do it, but he let his grades slip. I had to do it, that is what he was warned would happen if he let them go. He did and I followed through. WOW!! He looks so good :).

We have had so much rain, that my oldest son has only played 2 games, Peyton and Kyle have played 5. We have 6 to make up and they are calling for more rain Saturday. I wanted to take pictures of them, but so far I have failed to do that. I will get to that once they start back up. One reason I have not started is that Peyton still has not got his uniform yet. Both kids are on the Mets. David is on the Rangers.

Kyle got a speaking part in his performance at school. He did so well. He is growing up. The picture with Kyle and the girl is the one he likes. This is cute.

And last but not least I bite the bullet and got an Allergy test today. Yes I am hoping this will help all my suffering.

Ladies Retreat

The group of women, and of course they were not all at there yet :) WOW!

Michelle, Amy, and I being silly before the devotional

My second mom that helped raised me, love you !!! Amy (what can I say, you are the best and most wonderful person in the world) and me. Below is Andrea and I (she is the best teacher in the world) So encouraging :)

What a wonderful weekend this has been. I went on a ladies retreat with the women from the church. I had a great time. I met some really wonderful and blessed women. Our retreat was at the Red Apple Inn in Heber Springs. It was a really neat place, I am wanting to go on a weekend trip there with my husband. They have a golf course and massages.
I was thinking Friday that I shouldn't go. Things were hectic and I thought of just canceling my weekend. I am so glad I didn't. I was uplifted by so many things. I am just reminded by why we are here.
I am wore out from this. We stayed up until the morning and only got about 5 hours of sleep before we had to get up and have our devotional. Here are some of the photos I have. I will be able to get more. Everyone is going to put there's onto a disk. Someone is going to make us a disk with all of them on there.

A fun day with the family

This past Sunday was a great day. We went to meet with family we have not seen in about 10 years. It was my Aunt's birthday so it was special for all of us. Peyton of course was giving us a hard time not wanting to go. Saying he is going to just stay in the bedroom and I thought fine if that is what you want. Well it turned out he had a blast. He met his Aunt for the first time and they hit it off. Every time I turned around he was with her, outside swinging. I am so blessed that someone in the family can get through to him. He is wanting to stay a weekend with her. That is amazing to me. I have to pull teeth just to get him to go stay with the Grandparents. WOW!!! She is a retired school teacher specializing in special needs. She has the magic touch. I had a wonderful weekend. I look forward to spending more time with them.

One Eye Kyle :(

Well I have been battling something with my baby Kyle. I had no idea that he was not seeing anything out of one eye. He got new glasses 3 months ago and at that point I was blinded about how bad this situation was. We are going through a patch therapy for 9 months and we are going to revisit to see if his sight is any better. What the eye doctor has told us is that the vision part of the brain did not develop on the left side. The muscles though did develop and that is a great sign. We are trying to trigger the brain to get that vision working. If it does not work, he outcome is grim. He just won't ever be able to see out of it. What has happened is the senses of the right eye has done all the work. I am so upset with this and feel so bad because when his eye is patched, his punishment is trying to play the game boy for 2 hours a night. Who wouldn't like that punishment?? Well when you can't see it is frustrating. He is struggling for the whole two hours. I want to just cry every night for him. We have been doing this for 4 days now, so we have a long road ahead of us. I will post pictures once his patch comes in. He chose a glow in the dark ghost. Right know we are putting band aids on him every night.

The Spelling Bee

Before the big event. Can't you tell he was nervous.

Him hiding in his seat :)

Him spelling the word, look at the already emptied seats.

Him leaving the stage :(

The group with there certificate

Today was the big day for Peyton. He was one of 36 kiddos that made it to the spelling bee in his school. YEA! He drew number 33 so he was happy to be in the back row. He was pretty nervous to go up in front of the whole school and parents and do this. I tried to calm him down, but this was a big thing for him. He was up against 4th and 5th graders. One by one the kids was failing to spell the words right so I knew this event was going to go fast. Ok it was Peyton's turn and the word is PRAGMATIC. He asks for the definition and they gave it to him. He then asks for the word again, and he says PRADMATIC. The next thing he here's is, this is incorrect so he is out, just like that it was over. Six kids made it to round 2 and then was left with 2. It took 22 minutes for the whole thing. He was pretty moody the rest of the day. I was so proud of him, one he made it and two he was a young chicken. He will have next year and the year after that.

The NEW YEAR

The new year has began. Nothing new for our family, we tend not to make resolutions because let's face it, who can keep them. My husband and I did make a few, be a more patient with the boys and make more time for us. I want a new hair do and that is one of my resolutions. When I reflect on the past year (2008). It has been good to us in the long hall. We had some ups and some downs, but all and all we are blessed. Our family is healthy. Something great that made the end of the year special was that Malynda found me and we are going to start meeting every month or at least every other month and keep in touch. Our first outing will happen on Jan. 10th. My boys are so excited for this. The two youngest have never met her or Nick. I can't believe how much Nick has grown up. He is such a handsome young man. He is happy! I get to also meet his future wife. This year I do want to keep in touch with family better that is further away and we can't see often. I am going to make a point to go to Mt. Home when my cousin from Iowa comes down. (Give me as much notice as possible please). This summer is also when a good friend is coming for a visit from Germany. I can't wait for that either. Her boys are getting so big and my boys (especially Kyle) can't wait to see them. So I am hoping that 2009 will be a great year for our family.
