What a Wise Friend Wrote to Me ( Thank YOU!)

There are things that we all might like to change in our past, but then would we be where we are now? God does have a plan for us all. It's us that changes what he would like us to do sometimes. However, if we ask for forgiveness, then he blesses us and helps us get back up and try to better the next time. He is our Father and loves us unconditionally. Not that we don't make him upset at us, but that He will be there for us, we just have to turn to him.

Getting ready for 2008

Well we are fixing to say goodbye to 2007 and hello to 2008. Let's see, would I change anything about this past year? Sure, wouldn't everyone. I had some good times and some bad. I don't know why, but the bad sure seems to always come around the holidays. But we all have to look on the bright side and say "is this all worth it" and yes it is. It is a part of life God gave us, to live and learn. To forgive and forget. Never go backwards, so with that said, "Goodbye to 2007."

This year I am not going to promise anything, because that never works. I am going to try to be a better Wife, Mother, Daughter, Sister, and Friend. I am hoping that we do not have many heartaches. I am going to try to continue our church going as a family. Have a game night with the boys. Now that will be hard with all the sports they are in, so if we can have a monthly game night, that will be an improvement. Continue to support the boys and there sports no matter how exhausting it is on me. Try to take a vacation. I just hope that I can continue on the right path that was made for me by the Lord.

A Bad End to a Good Start

OK!!! Let me start from the start of the day 12/20/2007. The kids woke up and argued like normal. They were excited due to today was the last day of school for 2 weeks and they will be having there Christmas parties at school. I went up there and helped, got pictures of the boys with there teachers. Everything is going great, we came home got ready to go to my Party at work. We were there for about 1 and 1/2 hours and during the dirty Santa game my husband went running with Kyle and knocked chairs over and just kept going. About 15 minutes or so he came back and Kyle was throwing up. So of course my boss said don't worry about coming in tomorrow. So we get home and about 30 min. later Kyle was sick again. Peyton in the mean while started saying his stomach was hurting. Low and behold he got sick around 9:45. So here we are one with Kyle and one with Peyton. Kyle started slowing down in his sickness and went to bed around 10 or so and Peyton continued to be sick until 1 am or so. So needless to say it ended on a not so good day. Jason and I will probably be the next to get it. It never fails with something like this. David on the other hand has locked his self in his room so he can not get sick. Time will tell on that, but he usually is the lucky one in the family with this kinda of stuff. This morning I have given the 2 boys sprite and they are in a warm bath right now, just trying to have them feel better. They say they don't want to eat, but who blames them right. Well I better go get the boys and see how they are. I know they will feel alot better, I always do after a warm bath.

Decorating the tree

Yes, we have our tree up. We decorated on November 24. Yes, I did get up on Nov. 23at 3:30 am to go shopping at Kohls. This has been a tradition for my mother and I the past couple of years. I really enjoy this time with her. It seems that when you become an adult and have a family of your own you never get to get that one on one time with each other. So I want to let you know mom, I appreciate this time with you and love you dearly.

It has been crazy normal around here. I am done with all my Christmas shopping. I am going to get pictures of David playing b-ball soon. I keep forgetting to bring the camera. I think I am losing my mind with everything I have to remember now a days. I am ready for the boys to be out of school so I can sleep in 2 days a weeks.

Enjoy the slide of the boys decorating the tree.

Pie throwing

Let me begin saying a month ago at church we were having a bible class attendance drive. Kyle's class won (5 yr old). So with that they got to throw a pie at our new youth minister. The teens also got to join the fun by welcoming him in. My oldest is the one in the plaid shirt with a pie.

Catastrophe

Oh My!!!! Last night at basketball practice. Peyton collided with my head to his head and boy do I have a knot. His head is ok, by mine, not so good. I was trying to teach to boys positions and Peyton was getting a little to competitive and tried to steal the ball from me. So me trying not to let him turned and he came around so fast and hard BOOM there we went heading heads.

On a good note today, Peyton had his football party and it was great. He went bowling on base and here are a few pictures of him and some of his teammates.

This one is for YOU.

So, it has been awhile since my last post. Halloween went great, did a slide show and everything. When I went back to get the code it was no longer on my account so I do not know what I did. My boys had fun, it was a great night. Peyton went 10-0 in his football season. We have started basketball. This is my second year coaching Peyton's team and Kyle is offically on this team. I cannot believe his is at age to begin sports. I am sad and excited because he has waited a long time (for him an eternaty) for this. We have 5 2nd graders, 2 1st graders, and my Kyle. So I am hoping that we will win more than the 3 games we won last year. I have begun Christmas shopping and actually to my surprise almost done. Can you believe that???? My parents are coming in this Wednesday for Thanksgiving. Yes, I will be shopping on black Friday. My mom and I have a tradition of going (even though I am though with my Christmas shopping), we always go to breakfast at the Crackerbarrel after we are done. I enjoy the Me and her time. I rearly ever get that anymore. It seems so hard to ever get the one on one time for yourself.

PLEASE HELP!! OH MY, I'M

officially a mother of a teenage boy. I know my life is getting ready to be interesting. I already get the "You just don't love me" and "I need this". I tell you what I am sad on one hand and glad I just have 5, maybe 6 more years until he goes to college. He does have a goal to do that. He is starting to be interested in the opposite sex.(OH MY). He is always participating in the school activities. He is a go to guy when there is something to do. (Really he is only if he wants to do it). I have some photos of him in the slide above. We took him to Benihana's for his birthday. The two younger boys have never been and thought that was neat. He is doing good in school. He made straight A's on his report card. YEA! He got off to a rough start in World History, but got it together.
David- I love you and I hope you do what you set out to do in this world. I think if you continue to strive you will go far.

My Middle Child (Hooray)

Where to begin..... I am so proud of Peyton you cannot image. Let me start from the beginning. HE SCORED HIS FIRST TOUCHDOWN! His father and I are so proud. You could here us cheering from a good distance. The funny thing is, we were eating lunch and Peyton said "Dad, I wanted you to yell That's my boy." We just busted out laughing. So next time Peyton I will make sure your Dad does that for you. He did get the wind knocked out of him, but he didn't care he scored. HOORAY!

For all of you that know Peyton, you know he is an aggressive little thing with the sports. He gives it a 110% all the time, but for everything thing else he is a timid little thing. In Pre-K he started he speech and OT therapy. Now in 2nd grade is done with everything, but he is still working on quiting sucking his thumb and trying to give up his blankey. Which he is no where close to doing. I think maybe 7th grade he will give those up. He is still shy to go sleep over at friends house due to he doesn't want them to know he has a blankey and sucks his thumb. He only has 2 friends that he goes to for now.

But we all know that when we were young we had our quirks, but now as an adult you can not even notice any, we all grow up. I just know that kids are harsh with words, maybe even worse now than we were young. I just wish everyone can look to the future and see what harm those words do to us. If you are strong you live through it and see the good in everyone. Forgiving is everything.

It has been awhile.......

Let's see, We have been really really busy, but we did make time to go to the zoo last weekend after the 10:30 football Peyton had in Oak Grove. It was a beautiful day the high was 82 and so we went met the Hall family up there. We got some good pictures of us all and our families. Kyle and some of the boys did not like some of the smells that came with going to the zoo. The boys like the big Gorilla. We saw a lion and it was close to the window so Peyton got close to the window too and the lion roared and snapped at him. He jumped and John tried getting a picture, but was a little late. It was funny though. Here is a picture of all the boys. We are missing little Abigale, she was in the stroller relaxing so we didn't disturb her. She was cute too just pointing at everything.

Football is going good, so far Peyton has won all his games. This last game he really didn't play a lot which was fine with me. Those kids were huge. We played Maumalle. It was a close game too.

And let the Football Begin

This past week started football for both the boys. Sept. 6 was David's first game with the Jr. High and it ended with a tie. They don't play tell someone scores, they are just in there to learn. It was weird the coaches were out there with the players showing them were to go and everything. This is what we call an instructional league I guess. I don't know what to think of it except I was not to fond of the game at all.

Peyton on the other hand had his first game on Sat. Sept. 8, and that was a very cute game. Believe it or not it was so much more organized and they even kicked the ball unlike David's game. OH YEA on his game they did not even punt the ball. Weird huh? Peyton started the game and played alot. He mostly played defense and punt return up until the last quarter than he played both sides. He was wore out. He played against 3 of his friends and was disappointed in the beginning of the season not to get on there team. I got some good pictures of all of them though. No one got hurt, which is always a good thing. The one neat thing about the game was the coach's wife and others (I guess) made a banner for the kids to run though when they announced there team. Peyton really liked that part.

Kyle still is not old enough to play that sport yet, thank goodness. But he is going to be old enough to play basketball, so I will be able to post more on him at that time.

School is still going great for the boys. David is joining a teen group at church and he went to a cookout this weekend and says he is really going to enjoy being in the teen group. I know this is really good for him to get involved in so I am really happy for him. Now this is a lot of work for me, alot of dropping off and picking up so I am a little (YES) excited he is getting closer to being able to drive. I thought I would never be ready for that. But all the driving you have to do for a teenager is rough. But I will survive. We as parents will do anything to support our children.

Thanks Mom for always doing for me and all the sports I did and for supporting me in everything I did. Love you.

Getting better

Last week was the first week of school and all the boys did fine except one, Kyle. He was determined everyday not to go to school. One day he decided after I made his lunch for school, he took it upon his self to take everything out and put up his lunch box. So I had to make his lunch all over again. Friday his daddy was going to take the boys to school and of course he cried because he wanted his mommy to take him to school. But all is well this week, I think he is finally getting the point that he has to go to school.

Peyton is doing great. He likes his teacher. No problems so far.

Last night we received a call from David's Geography teacher. The first thing I thought was OH NO what has he done just the 1st week of school. But she was calling to praise him. She stated that she was grading papers and David was the only one that got the questions correct. I am so proud of him. I don't know where he got the brains from, but I am sure glad he has some. I told him he will go far, so not to let anyone or anything take that away from him. This is, I think, the hardest part of growing up. He is at that age where everything is intimidating.

I hope that the next time I blog it will be about the boys and there football.

My Vacation photos

The End of Summer

No, it is not the actual end of summer, but it is for us. The boys start school tomorrow. Yes, all the boys will be in school this year. Kyle is not looking forward to it. He has had a hard time with it. Any time we mention school, he breaks down and cries. He is getting a wonderful teacher so I am very excited.
Kyle- I know that this is a hard time for you, but you are growing up. You need this space from us to learn how to be dependent. I wish you could be with me because I am sad that my baby is getting big. I will be alone this year without you. This is a learning experience for the both of us. You know that I will be there to eat with you and go on your field trips with you. YOU ARE MY BABY!! I LOVE YOU!

Peyton is excited to start 2nd grade. He says he is happy with the teacher he got, so that makes me more relaxed. I think Peyton doesn't realize that with getting older more work will be expected from him. He is the type that wants to give you just what you want and nothing more. But when it comes to his sports, he will give you 110% and more. I have been trying to tell him that to be someone big in life he will have to give it his all in everything he does.
Peyton- I know you are shy and still have some issues with some habits that you have, but I have the confidence that you will overcome this and be someone special in life. I am also always going to be there for you when you need me. I LOVE YOU!!!

David is glad to be in the 7th grade because he gets to do the sports with the school now. He is starting his teenage years and is in a in between stage for him. I know that he will be ok in school and what lies before him.
David- I know you think you are always getting into trouble, but this is a new time for you and me. You are growing up, but not ready to make your own decisions. You think that you are always right and never do wrong. I am here trying to show you the way to be, it doesn't always work. We will get through this and learn to meet halfway at things you do. I know you will grow up to be a fine young man. I LOVE YOU!!!

We had a nice vacation this past week. We went to Branson, and did the go carts, putt putt golf. We also saw a show. The best part of the trip was the Landing. That was a really nice area, we saw a water and fire show. Here is a few pictures of it:

I know I know

I am sorry it has been a few weeks, well almost a month since I have shared anything. Well it has been pretty busy with getting everything needed to get ready for school. But one thing I did get to do is Play BINGO. Bonnie and I got to go enjoy some girl time together even though we didn't win we had fun. I think this will become a regular thing for us.

We are getting ready to go to Branson tomorrow so I will have pictures and hopefully good stories from that trip with my family. I am so excited to see Peyton it is not even funny. You know how you love to see you kids go for a night or two just to have you time. Well I think 10 days for me is to LONG. I miss him terribly. I love you PEYTON. See you tomorrow.

There is one thing that is kinda bugging me. That is my son Peyton signed up for football and was drafted on a team. He was very excited because he had a friend of his on the team. Well today the coach's wife called and stated they will be redrafting everyone due to they can make another team. You would think that the ones in charge would have already determined how many teams they could form. We have already had a practice and was told what to get. So now we just have to wait and see again who calls us. I know my son will be upset because he wanted to stay on the team he had. I just needed to get that off my chest and for first time players of the parents, they are not setting a good example of how the season will go.

Kyle's Birthday

July 11 was Kyle's B-day and we had a little party for him on Saturday July 14. He had a friend over. His other friends were all out of town. I told him that would probably happen due to his B-day is in the summer and a lot of families go on vacation around that time. He had fun. I cannot believe my baby is 5 years old.

Also this weekend we got some new furniture in. Jason and I have been together 13 yrs. and we have never had a bedroom suit. We finally got it in this weekend. I am so excited to have a bedroom. We also got some living room furniture in. Here is some pictures of the B-day and the new furniture.

Summer Fun

We yet have got to have some summer fun due to we are still in baseball. We have one more tournament to play in and we are through. We will then go on a weeks vacation to try to relax and refocus for the upcoming school year. It is a sad time for me because all of my boys will be in school. I will of course volunteer in the elementary school. I will hopefully be a little less stressed if I am up there. Kyle is not really looking forward to going to school full time. He liked it when it was 2 days a week. I will probably eat with him for a couple of weeks until he is comfortable with the change. I don't know how comfortable I will be.

Slide Show

Sad to see the Rowlands go

We had a great time with the Rowlands on June 16. The kids got to swim and didn't they look cute jumping in. I have a lot more pictures. They did chicken fights with the dads holding them. No one ever won, always a tie. I think Kyle will be the one to miss Hayden the most, due to he doesn't know what is going on. I know he will enjoy talking to him on the phone.

Swimming Lessons

Today was the 2nd day of swimming lessons. Peyton is doing very well, I think he will have gone through all of the lessons after this. All is lacking is the back stroke. For some reason he just has not gotten it. He will though. Kyle on the other hand cried because he said they were going to let him drown. He just does not feel secure without his life jacket on. He can swim on his belly without it on, but for some odd reason he does not want to do it for them. He made his nose bleed, when that didn't work for him. He then started coughing, that also didn't work for him. I made him stay and finish his lesson. Just think, I have 2 weeks of this. Now today was a little easier, he did do what he was told, but he did not want to jump in without the life jacket so he stated he had to go to the bathroom. He got out of that part of his lesson. I know it will get easier as the week goes by. Tomorrow I am going to bring my camera to get so shots of the kids in their lessons.

Wow How Time Flies

I cannot believe it has been a month since my friend (Jolee) has got me onto this blogging. She is getting ready to go to Germany for 3 years. I will miss her and her family. My boys (especially Kyle) will miss them. He always goes around and says he is going to invite his best friends Corey, Hayden, and Madison to his birthday party. I hope that she will be down from Fort Smith around that time so she can come see us for one last time. We are going to have the family over on the 16th for a dinner and some swimming. My boys can't wait. I will get lots of pictures of them together. I have some but they are not on a digital. Things are getting ready to calm down on the end of school stuff. The last day is June 5, my boys are not going due to the teachers are just cleaning up the rooms for the year. I am so looking forward to sleeping in. I have the younger 2 boys in swimming lessons for 2 weeks starting June 11. I think you never can have to much learning with that especially because we have one and you never know. Kyle still cannot touch the bottom so he still prefers a life jacket, but he does know how to freestyle. Peyton is now like a little fish, but in the beginning he would not let go of the sides. He was scared to death of the water. Kyle was the same way, but he would not even get in the pool. Now you cannot get them out.

Kyle had his Pre-K graduation into Kindergarten Friday. They sang songs and got a certificate. He was so cute, every time I would hold up the camera to take a picture he would pose. He is such a ham when it comes to taking pictures. I will get some of them posted soon. I hope everyone can have a good and safe summer.

Busy Busy Busy

Sorry I haven't logged in awhile. I have been pretty busy with the end of school for the boys and baseball games every night. I am sure you can understand that if you have more than one child in a sport. Next year David will be traveling while the other 2 boys will be a the same park. That will be interesting.

I don't know how I will get through the teenage years with my older son. For example today he woke up and stated he can wear anything to school today thru Friday. Well I told him to bring the uniform just in case and did he NO! I received a call around 9:15 asking me to bring a uniform because he was not on the list for this privilege. I was so angry with him. What to do with him? This summer will be interesting.

We opened our pool this past weekend and it sure does look inviting. This memorial weekend we are going to have a family (Hall's) over so the kids can jump in pool. I know it will be cold!!!!!!!!! My mother and father are suppose to be down also, so maybe we can get a game of cards on.

Enjoy the baseball slide!! :-)

My Birthday

My morning started off with the boys giving me a card and some hugs. What was so funny was my middle boy Peyton told me Happy 43 Birthday. I told him I hope I do not look that old because I am 10 years younger than that. After I took the boys to school I went to Bonnie's and she had me a card and a candle, we went for a walk then decided to come to my house and have lunch. I came home, got cleaned up and noticed something on my belly. When Bonnie got here she looked at it and noticed it was a tick. I was freaking out, scaring baby Abigale. Bonnie finally got it off, but still I was a little freaked out by that. I guess from now on I will be spraying the deep woods off spray even though we do not go through any brush. We are always on sidewalks so I don't know where I would have picked that little tick up. But over all it has been a great day. Oh yea, we also played a game of cards while Abigale napped today. I didn't win though, but I will on the next game. ha ha

Mother's Day

Here are some pictures of the boys and family. Enjoy!

Mother's Day was great. My boys tried to be on there best behavior. You know how that is.

The night before (May 12) Jason and I went to Murry's Dinner Playhouse. Grandma Ernie kept the boys all night for us so we could have our anniversary date. It was really fun. We think we will be going back again. The show was "Charley's Aunt", it was a comedy. On May 10 my parents came down from Mt. Home to go to an award dinner for Mike (Bill's son). The next morning we took the boys to school and went to breakfast before they left to go back home.

Kyle's Dental Experience

Today Kyle had to go to the dentist because he had 3 cavities. He, of course, was excited to wake up and not have to go to school today. Only to know this was not going to be just a cleaning of the teeth visit. He although did very well, they actually got to fill only two of the three because they did not want to numb both sides of his face. Now that we are home he is going crazy with the feeling it leaves behind. I have him lying on the couch listing to his headphones. For some reason that is how he goes to sleep.

Kyle- I am so very proud of you for being so good through everything the dentist did. For only 4 you sure did great. They put the Nose on you and you thought it was funny, but then you started to stay still so they new when you were ready. You did not even flinch when they gave you the shot to numb you. I am so sorry for the way you feel after the fact, but I promise it will go away in an hour or so. I LOVE YOU!!!

11 Year Anniversary

This year 11 years ago, Jason was working a lot of hard hours. My family faced a major loss of my cousin (Ruth Anne Beckham) in a car accident on March 31. So Jason and I had my mother, step father, Doug (Jason's Brother), Stephanie (My Sister) over for lunch that day and we had Leroy Wood (Our Preacher) marry us. It was, I think at that time in our life, the right thing to do for our son David due to the ups and downs we were going through. I am not saying that it was easy, by all means it was difficult. But now we have 3 wonderful boys and our life could not be any better.

Jason-I love you and I guess I could not ask for a better husband. You know me so well and know what to do. I loved that you let me stay home with the boys and give the love they need from me. I love that I have the freedom to volunteer at their schools to know what is going on in their studies. I hope that we can work through anything that comes our way and stay together forever. I would say the only thing I wish I could change about you would be ... you taking the time to play cards. ha ha.

I LOVE YOU!!!
